Vibrant flowers catch the eye and fill the page with colour and movement. Amidst them, small scenes emerge: people revealing their vulnerability in their solitude, or offering each other loving comfort. Erfani and Hashemi’s works draw on personal memories, individual experiences of social realities and contemporary events. They do not tell a linear story, but rather convey that memory never stands still; that it is rewritten with every experience. The past does not disappear, but accompanies us 
- sometimes as a burden, sometimes as a source of strength from which something new can grow.

The drawn flowers reflect those cycles of growth, decay and renewal that also characterise the collaboration between the two artists. Erfanian and Hashemi see their collaborative work as care in action. Drawing becomes a form of sharing - of memories, time and responsibility. In a world marked by crises and loss, care becomes a quiet yet resolute form of resistance. Their works create spaces where vulnerability is allowed to be visible and intimacy can be experienced as a unifying force.

As such, their works fit into the exhibition “The Art of Two - Between Autonomy and Collaboration” in a special way. Their shared artistic style demonstrates how autonomy and connectedness are not mutually exclusive, but rather interdependent. 
Here, collaboration means not only creating something together, but also making space for one another.
